I mean, if I’m going to get any, it ought to be before I repaint it, right? So I can match them?

Every car needs fender skirts.

I like the fender skirts.

Right? I mean, ‘63 is still in the “not completely tasteless” window for fender skirts - it’s very nearly in the bullseye of “yes, skirts”. A brand new set is $168, and there are still sets of original Foxcraft ones in the wild for not too much more.

Your post was the inspiration for me to check prices. They’re readily available new, unlike Falcon ones, which were the last ones I looked at.

I personally prefer without.

Well, they do install with little thumbscrew thingies and rubber seals. So, getting a set is by no means irreversible.

True. It is your car, after all.

Yes, but for show/cruise. Otherwise run without for practical need.

Hmm.
Well, do they limit your wheel/tire combinations a lot? Just in case you want to run aftermarket wheels and modern rubber.

No, I don’t think they fit the lines of the sedans as well. Yes, it’s your car and why the hell not.

The tires it’s got on it right now are Kumho Solus in something like a 215/75R14. Cheap, but not too terrible. The R-code’s had 15" tires on them, so had to use the 300's dog dish hubcaps instead of the full caps for the normal wheels. I don’t think a much bigger wheel would be in much conflict, given that the hubcap sticks out about an inch and a half, but I’m also not sure how much of an upgrade would make sense. 15x7 wheels with a raised letter Bridgestone type thing? I don’t know.
